YANG, MPA, Karen, is the Project Coordinator for NextGen ASET at Cal State University, East Bay. Before joining the Institute for STEM Education, she spent time as a VISTA leader for AmeriCorps in Seattle, where she coordinated parent involvement, mentorship, and tutoring programs in elementary schools for first generation low-income students. Prior to that, she worked with high tech companies in marketing and event coordination and has vast experience in planning events and project management. Karen is an alumni of Cal State University East Bay and has a Master of Public Administration in Social Policy from the University of Washington.
